HBO, Syfy and AMC were all winners as cable dominated Saturday night’s Television Critics Association Awards, taking home seven of the 10 categories, Multichannel News says.
Syfy’s “Battlestar Galactica,” which ended a four-year run last spring, won for program of the year.
HBO’s three awards included outstanding new program for the vampire drama “True Blood.” Top drama honors went to AMC’s “Mad Men” while the critics’ choice for top comedy was CBS’ “The Big Bang Theory.”
