Disney Channel’s Aug. 28 original “Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie” drew 11.4 million viewers on average, easily enough to make it the most-watched cable program of 2009, says Broadcasting & Cable.

The Friday movie is also the top entertainment show of the year, so far, among kids 6-11 and tweens 9-14.
