Jamie Kraft has been named executive producer of CNN’s "American Morning," the network’s flagship morning program, according to TVNewser.
Bart Feder, senior vice president for current programming, CNN/U.S., made the announcement today.
Since Kraft became acting executive producer in May, "American Morning" has seen its audience grow 8% versus the year-ago numbers. Kraft had been the show’s senior broadcast producer prior to taking on the EP role.
Before joining "American Morning," Kraft was a senior producer for CNN’s "Anderson Cooper 360." He joined CNN after more than 13 years at CBS News, where he was a producer on "60 Minutes" and "The CBS Evening News With Dan Rather."
"Jamie is an extremely talented journalist, a dynamic leader and the right person to carry on CNN’s tradition of offering the most hard news in morning television," said Feder.
