Discovery Extends Zaslav’s Contract, Examines ‘The Questions of Our Life’

Discovery Communications president-CEO David Zaslav extended his contract through Feb. 1, 2015, and beginning in 2011 will earn a base salary of $3 million plus bonuses, a raise of $1 million annually, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Meanwhile, John Hendricks, the founder and chairman of Discovery, is returning to the network to supervise a five-year, 60-episode series entitled “Curiosity: The Questions of Our Life,” the New York Times reports.

The series will begin in January 2011, and will air one hourlong episode a month for its duration Sundays at 8 p.m.
