MTV sources told The Hollywood Reporter that the network still intends to air the drug-intervention reality series shot with DJ AM before he died at the end of August, of an apparent drug overdose.
The network hasn’t made a final decision and declined to comment, but the sources said MTV was talking to the family about the timing of the series, which was to have begun Oct. 5.
DJ AM’s real name was Adam Goldstein. He had taped eight episodes of the series before he was found dead in his apartment. The toxicology report hasn’t yet been released.
