Cheryl Ladd of "Charlie’s Angels" has been tapped for a Hallmark movie that will have her playing opposite Bruce Boxleitner of "Scarecrow and Mrs. King," The Hollywood Reporter reports.

Ladd will play the part of a strong-minded matriarch who, after a tragedy, helps her son and grandchildren in the period TV movie "Love’s Resounding Courage." It will mark the network’s second prequel to its movie "Love Comes Softly," which starred Katherine Heigl as a widow in the American West during the 1800s.
