USA has ordered two pilots, with one based on the true story of a female sports therapist and the second on a college drop-out who ends up as a corporate lawyer, Nellie Andreeva reports on Deadline.com.
The first pilot, "Necessary Roughness," focuses on a Long Island divorcee who becomes a therapist for a professional football team to keep herself afloat and ends up being sought after by other athletes and celebrities. The script was written by Elizabeth Kruger and Craig Shapiro of "Miami Medical."
The second pilot, "A Legal Mind," tracks a smart but slacker college student who ends up getting hired by a Manhattan corporate law firm even though he hasn’t passed the bar. Both shows live up to USA’s promise of delivering shows based on an offbeat personality.
