There’ll be a new buddy comedy on the Disney Channel this fall called "Shake It Up!"
It’s the story of two teens and a Chicago dance show and is the creation of Chris Thompson, who was in on the writing for "Laverne & Shirley" and "Bosom Buddies," among other sitcoms.
Thompson will executive produce with Rob Lotterstein. Starring in the show are 12-year-old Bella Thorne and 13-year-old Zendaya, as best friends whose dream of becoming professional dancers is realized when they’re chosen to be in the background on the popular teen dance show, "Shake it Up, Chicago."
