AMC has placed a full-series order for the pilot that was formerly known as "The Killing," and which now is untitled, reports the Los Angeles Times’ Show Tracker blog.

The series is based on a popular Danish television crime series called "“Forbrydelsen," while the AMC version will be set in Seattle and comes from writer and executive producer Veena Sud of "Cold Case," the story says. The show will track the police investigation of a murdered young girl.

The order marks the fifth series in AMC’s line-up of original programming, with its other shows being "Mad Men", "Breaking Bad", "Rubicon" and "The Walking Dead." The first season of the new crime series will consist of 13 episodes and star Mireille Enos of "Big Love" as Sarah, the lead homicide detective. Other actors include Michelle Forbes of "True Blood" and Billy Campbell of "Once and Again." The show will debut in 2011.
