Piers Morgan says he’s getting closer to taking over Larry King’s time slot on CNN, reports the Los Angeles Times’ ShowTracker blog.

From the red carpet at Sunday’s Emmy awards ceremony, Morgan told the newspaper, "We’re near the end of negotiations and we’re getting to what I hope will be a very happy resolution." He added that being on CNN is like working for one of the "great holy grails of television."

Morgan also said that he won’t try to copy King’s style. "They’re the biggest suspenders to fill imaginable. So I won’t even try. I’ll just be myself and no suspenders."

  1. hi,
what is your opinion for Wayne Rooney
Will he really leave Old Trafford?
because there is now speculation that the 24 year-old could be on the move. It really wouldn’t surprise me if he did move on after all that’s gone on. However it would need to be abroad if he was to avoid the British media.
