"The View" drew its biggest audience in its 13-year history with its Thursday, July 29, 2010, program featuring President Barack Obama, reports B&C.

The show drew 6.59 million viewers who tuned in to watch the first time a sitting U.S. president has appeared on a daytime talk show, the article says. "A historic interview leads to historic ratings," said Brian Frons, president of daytime at Disney/ABC Television Group.

The ratings were up 7% from the previous record holder, which was "The View" that  aired the day after the 2008 Presidential Election.
