"Melissa & Joey" has been given a backorder, bringing the series episode total to 30, from ABC Family, which has also greenlit four pilots, reports B&C

The pickups come after the network canceled the new drama "Huge," the story points out. The new pilots include an untitled project from Brenda Hampton, the executive producer of ABC Family’s "The Secret Life of the American Teenager," the story notes. The one-hour drama looks at four ethnically diverse teenaged girls in a California private school.

The other pilots include "The Great State of Georgia," a comedy about a plus-sized performer who tries to make it in New York; "What Would Jane Do," about a 16-year-old who is mistaken for an adult and given a job at a retail company; and "The Lying Game," a drama about a foster kid who finds out she has a twin sister who was adopted by a wealthy family.
