A Former Executive Producer of ‘Today’ Show and ‘Nightly News with Tom Brokaw’ in Talks to Produce Piers Morgan’s CNN Show

A former executive producer of  ‘Today’ show and ‘Nightly News with Tom Brokaw’ is in discussions to become the executive producer of Piers Morgan’s new CNN talk show, reports B&C

Itt’s Jonathan Wald, whose most recent postion at NBCU was at CNBC during the fiscal crisis (he left in 2009), is  crrently on the adjunct faculty of Columbia University’s journalism school, the story notes. CNN declined to comment. Ken Jautz, who replaced Jon Klein as head of CNN/U.S. last month, met with potential producers for Morgan’s show last week, the article says.

Producers who were considered include Todd Yasui, former senior vice president of late-night at Fox, and Corin Nelson, a former producer of shows such as "Chelsea Lately" and "Tyra Banks," the story says.
