The mother of a 15-year old girl who appeared without her permission on an episode of "The Tyra Banks Show" has sued Banks for $3 million, reports PopEater.com

The lawsuit, filed Oct. 8 in federal court in Atlanta, alleges that the show contacted the daughter on her cell phone after she had responded to a request on the show’s Website looking for "sex addicts," the story says. The lawsuit alleges that the girl was picked up from her Georgia home in a limo and flown to New York, allegedly without her mother’s knowledge.

The mother, Beverly McClendon, claims she filed a missing person report with local police when she realized her daughter was gone. The suit also names Warner Bros. Entertainment and the show’s executive producers as defendants, the story says.

  1. There is something very fishy anout this story. I am really having trouble believing these producers did not get a contract about her appearance, or waiver, or something. And anyone with half a brain realizes minors can’t sign legal documents for themselves. Did the daughter forge Mom’s signature? Did she get the waivers and Mom signed without really reading them? Or did Mom think it was ok until she saw the segment, then was embarrassed at the way she was portrayed? If they do win this lawsuit, the money should be held in trust with a non-involved person holding the purse strings. And Mom should get nothing. Give the money to the child she feels was wronged, and use it for her therapy, her education, etc.

  2. What theme is this? It’s from wordpress.org extends, right?
