CBS Television Distribution is developing "Excused," a half-hour dating-reality show strip, for a fall 2011 syndication debut, reports TVNewsCheck.com, citing "people familiar with the show" as sources.

"Excused," to be hosted by "Last Comic Standing" winner Iliza Shlesinger, is being produced by Renegade 83 Entertainment ("Blind Date") and is being developed for late fringe or late night, the report said.

As TVNewsCheck described the show, "two single women and four single men (or vice versa) are whittled down to a final winning couple. To get there, the two women vote off two of the men. The two women and two men go on dates, swapping men mid-date. The two women then choose a final man, who then picks the winning woman."

CBS Television Distribution was not available for comment, the story said.
