An actress who appeared on "Dexter" has been tapped for a recurring role on HBO’s "True Blood," reports Michael Ausiello at Deadline.com. 

Courtney Ford, who played Christine Hill in "Dexter," will play Portia Bellefleur, the brother of inept Bon Temps’ detective Andy, on "True Blood," the story says. Bellefleur runs her own law practice and is a Southern beauty, it notes.

Ford recently ended a role on another vampire TV show, The CW’s "The Vampire Diaries," the article adds.
