It’s a Mouthful and It’s Got a 12-Episode Order from Adult Swim: ‘NTSF: SD: SUV’

The show’s got both an unwieldy name and a 12-episode order from Adult Swim: Paul Scheer’s "NTSF: SD: SUV," reports Deadline.com’s Nellie Andreeva

The show, as its title suggests, is a parody of the crime procedural genre, and it’s created by and stars Scheer, the story says. It started as a mock promo that aired in Rob Corddry’s "Childrens Hospital," which itself mocks another TV genre, that of medical shows, the article notes. The project jumped from being a clip straight to series, leapfrogging over the pilot stage, it notes.
