Alert for ‘Breaking Bad’ Fans: Adjust Your DVRs

Sep 19, 2013  •  Post A Comment

The final two episodes of AMC’s "Breaking Bad" will break from their normal run time. The Los Angeles Times’ Show Tracker reports that each episode will run 15 minutes longer than usual, which will require some advance planning for people who DVR the show.

The longer episodes were announced Wednesday via Twitter by co-executive producer Peter Gould.

"I checked & it’s official. Last 2 #BreakingBadeps are 75 minutes each w/commercials. Set your DVRS accordingly. Better still, watch live!" he wrote.

The next-to-last episode, set for this Sunday, will air at the same time as the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards, in which the drama series is up for six awards, the piece notes.

  1. TIVO users need not worry! my tivo already has automatically set itself to record the extra 15 minutes for the last 2 episodes! This is why tivos are so much better than cable dvrs!!!

  2. Exactly. It’s just hype, right? It’s not as if we should believe that industry professionals don’t understand how DVRs work?
