Chris Brown, Looking at Possible Four Years in Prison, Seeks Help With Anger Management Issues

Singer Chris Brown has entered a rehab facility in Malibu to deal with anger management problems, reports TMZ.com, which notes that the decision may help reduce a potential prison sentence.

At the same time, the Los Angeles County Probation Department is investigating whether Brown violated his probation in a recent incident in which he allegedly punched a man in the nose, the story says. The probation stems from a felony assault conviction in 2009 for an attack on pop singer Rihanna, who was Brown’s girlfriend at the time.

"We’ve learned the L.A. County Probation Department is going full bore in its investigation to determine if Brown violated his probation in the Rihanna case by getting arrested in D.C. over the weekend," the TMZ report notes.

As previously reported, Brown was released from jail after he allegedly attacked a man who had photobombed the singer. He was booked on felony assault, with the charge later being reduced to a misdemeanor.

"We’re told it’s likely the Probation Department will determine that Brown violated his probation, and a judge could sentence him to as much as 4 years in prison," the report notes.
