Hallmark Channel will bring back a drama series for another season. Deadline.com reports that the cable channel made the decision to renew the freshman series "Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cove" for season two.

The Andie MacDowell-starring vehicle will return in 2014, the piece notes.

The project has been a success for Hallmark, with Deadline noting, "Since the series launched on July 20, Hallmark Channel has been the top-rated cable television network on Saturdays from 8-9 p.m."

The series will start production on its second season next year.

The show is reportedly set to air a two-part Christmas episode Oct. 5 and 12.

  1. I just love watching cedar cove on tv. It’s so nice to watch a good written show that is “feel good” when real life is hard. It’s a great break for an hour! Please keep it up!!!
