One of the stars of the ABC drama series “Scandal” was arrested Wednesday. Citing the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, Deadline.com reports that Columbus Short, who plays Harrison Wright on the series, was arrested and released on $50,000 bail.

“The arrest comes one day after Short was charged with one count of felony battery with serious bodily harm over an alleged brawl in a West L.A. restaurant on March 15 that saw the other guy KO’d,” the story notes.

Short has played Wright, an attorney, on the ABC show since its first season. “Scandal” is currently in its third season.

Show creator Shonda Rhimes’ Shondaland production company and ABC had no comment on the incident.

Short could face up to four years in jail if he’s found guilty, which makes his future on the show unsure, the report notes.

“Sources say it didn’t affect production on the latest season of ‘Scandal,’ which wraps this week,” the piece adds.
