The first day of “The Simpsons” marathon on FXX broke the network’s ratings records on Thursday, reports the Los Angeles Times’ Show Tracker.

The animated show boosted FXX’s ratings fivefold, with more than 1 million total viewers tuning in during primetime, the story notes, citing Nielsen. The network’s airing of “The Simpsons” is the longest programming marathon ever on TV, with FXX airing all 552 episodes of the show across 12 days, the article adds.

“We knew that ‘The Simpsons’ could be transformative for FXX and its performance yesterday truly exceeded our wildest expectations,” FXX president of program strategy Chuck Saftler said in a statement.
