Bryan Cranston Project Lands at NBC

Sep 3, 2014  •  Post A Comment

NBC has ordered a project from Bryan Cranston, marking his first big television sale as a producer. Deadline.com reports that the “Breaking Bad” star sold the comedy “The Dangerous Book for Boys” to the network.

The project “landed at NBC with a significant penalty and a premium license fee,” the story notes. Greg Mottola, the director of “Superbad,” is writing and directing the adaptation of a book of the same name.

The family comedy tracks three teenage boys who are given their dad’s guide to living after he dies. “This has been a passion project for Cranston, who optioned the rights to the best-selling 2006 British book in June and helped shape up the idea for the series,” the piece notes.

  1. Headline says “ABC” yet the story says it landed at NBC. Which is it?

  2. I agree with Michelle. I’m confused.

  3. NBC is correct. Thanks.
