Increased Ad Spending in the Works for 2015 in Key Market Segment

A number of top marketers in one of television’s most important advertising segments will increase their marketing budgets for 2015. Advertising Age reports that Audi, Chevrolet and Lincoln are among the automotive firms that have larger ad budgets in the works.

Volkswagen, the story reports, plans to keep its spending flat or increase it slightly, the report notes.

Said Loren Angelo, director of marketing for Audi of America: “Our focus is clear: We still stay true to the platforms that have been successful for us, but we’re putting more money with it.”

The report adds: “Tim Mahoney, Chevrolet’s chief marketing officer, said the brand plans to boost its marketing outlay to support five vehicle launches planned for 2015.”

The executives spoke at this week’s Automotive News Marketing Seminar in New York.
