The season premiere of the Bravo reality show “Shahs of Sunset” has been delayed, with Deadline.com reporting that the move comes in response to a strike by the show’s postproduction crew.
Bravo said it was pushing the premiere of the show’s fourth season “to a later date.” A new premiere date hasn’t yet been determined, however, the story notes. The show, from Ryan Seacrest Productions, had been slated to return Oct. 13.
The delay comes after the postproduction crew, which is seeking an IATSE contract, walked off the job.
“On September 9, the Motion Picture Editors Guild sent a letter to RSP subsidiary Berne Productions Inc for immediate talks on the matter. Like the Guild’s successful ‘Survivor’ labor action of last month, the roughly 16 post crew members of ‘Shahs’ are primarily seeking health and pension benefits.”
