A Domestic Take on an Acclaimed British Series — With Some Close Connections to the Original

Oct 2, 2014  •  Post A Comment

A U.S. show that debuts tonight, Thursday, Oct. 2, has close connections to the acclaimed British crime procedural “Broadchurch” — including not just creator, writer and executive producer Chris Chibnall, but also lead actor David Tennant.

The new series is “Gracepoint,” a 10-part U.S.-based murder mystery set to roll out tonight on Fox. Chibnall, Tennant and the other principals, including “Breaking Bad’s” Anna Gunn, got together to preview the hotly anticipated project — no spoilers, mind you, but plenty of good insights.

  1. I was a fan of Broadchurch so I watched the first episode of Gracepoint. I enjoyed it. Not sure how well it will do being up against Scandal and Thursday Night Football. I hope FOX won’t pull it until the run is complete…FYI-I will watch any thing Nick Nolte is in.
