Turner Announces Global Relaunch of Kids Brand

The company that boasts the largest animation library in the world — a resource that includes TV and theatrical productions from Warner Bros., Hanna-Barbera and MGM — announced a global rebranding. Turner Broadcasting revealed today that it is relaunching its Boomerang children’s brand as a global all-animation network for kids and families.

“With a current global audience of 250 million households serviced by 13 international feeds, the new Boomerang — premiering in the U.S. in 2015 — will showcase a slate of newly acquired contemporary series, a refreshed on-air environment, and for the first time, offer exclusive original content,” a rep for Turner said.

The announcement was made by Gerhard Zeiler, president, Turner Broadcasting System International Inc., and Christina Miller, president and general manager, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and Boomerang (U.S.).
