After a bidding war, Showtime has landed an election drama from a former speechwriter for President Obama, The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports.

The project, called “Anthem,” comes from Jon Lovett — not to be confused with former “Saturday Night Live” regular Jon Lovitz — and is described as an election drama that shows the U.S. unraveling and nearing the brink of a civil war. Lovett will be joined by Brian Koppelman and David Levien as executive producers.

“Lovett, who was a speechwriter for both Obama and then-Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, has been busy in TV since he made the switch to Hollywood,” the story reports. “He most recently served as producer on the third and final season of HBO’s ‘The Newsroom.’”
