An actress who was found dead in October died of blunt-force injuries, a medical examiner in the Seattle area has revealed.
ABC News reports that the official said Misty Upham, known for her appearances in “August: Osage County” and other high-profile feature films, died of injuries to her head and torso.
“The King County Medical Examiner’s Office released the official cause of death of the actress on Wednesday, but said the manner in which Upham died is still undetermined,” the story reports. “The 32-year-old actress was found dead in the Seattle suburb of Auburn on Oct. 16, a week after her family reported her missing and suicidal.”
Upham’s body was found in a ravine by searchers.
Authorities told the news service that no indication of foul play had turned up in the death of the actress. Her father has indicated that he does not think she killed herself, the report notes.
Upham appeared in “Frozen River” and “Django Unchained,” among other film roles. On TV she appeared in HBO’s “Big Love.”
