Rock ‘n Roll Star Who Once Won the Grammy for ‘Best Male Rock Vocal Performance’ Four Years in a Row to Join Katy Perry in NFL Super Bowl Halftime Show

The rock n’roll star who once one the Grammy award for “Best Male Rock Vocal Performance” four years in a row – 1999-2002 – will be joining Katy Perry during the halftime show at the upcoming NFL Super Bowl. That would be Lenny Kravitz.

According to Rolling Stone, Perry, in announcing the participation of the “Strut” rocker said “My first special guest is going to be an incredible rock & roll icon, a guitar god.”

No word on who Perry’s other guests may be.

Rolling Stone adds that other star combinations who have performed on the NFL halftime show include “Black Eyed Peas with Usher and Slash, Madonna joined by M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj, Beyoncé reuniting with Destiny’s Child and, finally, 2014’s unexpected pairing of Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.”
