The main cast is taking shape for a new “Ghostbusters” project, with a strong connection to NBC’s late-night sketch staple “Saturday Night Live” running through the lineup.

The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision reports that “SNL” alum Kristen Wiig is in talks for the feature film, while “Mike & Molly” star Melissa McCarthy has signed on. “SNL’s” Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon are also in negotiations, the story reports, noting that everyone is expected to sign.

Paul Feig, who directed McCarthy and Wiig in “Bridesmaids,” is directing the new project, which is due to begin filming this summer in New York.
