BBC America has found a replacement for “Top Gear” episodes that were pulled after co-host Jeremy Clarkson was suspended from the show.
Deadline.com reports that the cable channel will plug a two-part special, “Top Gear: The Perfect Road Trip Italy,” into the show’s time slot on the next two Mondays, March 16 and 23. The program will be making its U.S. debut.
The special replaces two regular installments of the show’s 22nd season.
Clarkson was suspended over an apparent altercation with a producer on the show, as we reported previously. Almost 1 million fans have reportedly signed a petition to get Clarkson reinstated.
