Offbeat Cable Competition Show Continues Its Roll — Picked Up for an Eighth Season; Nationwide Casting Call Announced

A quirky reality show that has had a long run on cable is coming back for more. Logo announced today that it has picked up “RuPaul’s Drag Race” for an eighth season.

The cable channel also announced a nationwide casting call for the show.

“Drag Race” has been Logo’s highest-rated series. The season seven premiere, which aired March 2, reportedly scored a 0.2 average rating in adults 18-49, up 20% from a year ago, along with 348,000 total viewers, based on Nielsen live+same day ratings.

  1. Mr, King’s comments reflect a narrow approach to developing positive relationships and better relations within the African American peoples. BET and Bounce project those narrow views to black audience. Sorry, we have no White only tv so more black only tv widens the divide.
