After revealing details about his gender transition in a high-profile “20/20” interview with Diane Sawyer, former Olympian Bruce Jenner is “taking his story on the road,” Us Magazine reports.
The report cites a source saying Jenner, who has an upcoming series in the works for E! that will document his transition, will also resume his career as a motivational speaker.
“He is going to be a role model for the transgender community,” the report quotes the source saying. “He knows he has an important job to do.”
It also may turn out to be a lucrative job. According to sources cited in the report, the 65-year-old Jenner, who was making about $5,000 per appearance back in the late 1970s, could make tens of thousands this time around, given that he will be reaching a new audience.
But for Jenner, it’s not about the money. He reportedly said during the “20/20” interview: “What I’m doing is going to do some good. And we’re going to change the world. I really firmly believe that.”
