ABC is beating the drum pretty loudly today after another ratings victory for its evening news broadcast “World News Tonight with David Muir” over rival “NBC Nightly News.” The ABC broadcast has been chalking up ratings wins while NBC anchor Brian Williams is on suspension with Lester Holt filling in as anchor.
Among the achievements ABC is spotlighting for the week of May 11-15:
- “World News Tonight” has won nine of the past 10 weeks in Adults 25-54.
- “World News Tonight” is up the most in total viewers (+4%) vs. the same week a year ago, while NBC is down (-9%).
- “World News Tonight” improved week-to-week across all key measures: Total Viewers (+4%), Adults 25-54 (+3%) and Adults 18-49 (+4%).
- “World News Tonight” is averaging nearly a half-million more viewers per night for the season, while NBC is losing 300,000.
