A veteran TV star with a long-running TV series “alarmed fans by canceling appearances at conventions in Italy and Australia,” reports CNN.

Says the story, “Two days after Jared Padalecki alarmed fans by canceling appearances at conventions in Italy and Australia, representatives for the ‘Supernatural’ actor said he ‘has pushed himself to his limits and is suffering from exhaustion.’”

Padalecki plays Sam Winchester on the long-running series.

After tweeting that he was going home because he was “in desperate and urgent need of my family,” the story notes that “Padalecki then pleaded for support from his 2 million Twitter followers: ‘I need all of the love I can get right now. Please please give me a few seconds of your time and write me.’”

The article also notes that reps for Padalecki say the actor is expected to start shooting the 11th season of the CW’s “Supernatural” in July as scheduled.

The story also notes that Padalecki, 32, has previously talked about the fact that he sometimes suffers from depression.
