Tom Bergeron, who has stepped down as the host of “America’s Funniest Home Videos” after being with the show since 2001, has announced his replacement.
On the finale of “Dancing with the Stars” – another show hosted by Bergeron – he announced that Alfonso Ribeiro would be taking over the hosting chores for “America’s Funniest Home Videos.”
Both “Dancing” and “Videos” are on ABC; in addition, last November Ribeiro was the winner of season 19 of “Dancing.”
Ribeiro, 43, may be best known for playing cousin Carlton on the hit sitcom “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.”
