In Precursor to Emmys, Critics’ Choice Awards Name Best Drama, Best Comedy and Other Top TV Honors

The Critics’ Choice Television Awards, considered by many to be an indicator for the Emmys, were handed out Sunday, with Best Drama going to the FX spy series “The Americans” and Best Comedy awarded to HBO’s “Silicon Valley.”

Among the top acting awards, Taraji P. Henson received Best Actress in a Drama for Fox’s “Empire” and Bob Odenkirk was awarded Best Actor in a Drama for AMC’s “Better Call Saul.”
