Police Release Video of High-Speed Chase That Led to Arrest of ‘Star Wars’ Actor

In the wake of the arrest of a “Star Wars” actor June 17, authorities have put out a video of the high-speed chase that preceded the arrest of Jake Lloyd in South Carolina.

Lloyd, 26, played a young Anakin Skywalker in the 1999 prequel “Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace” when Lloyd was a child actor.

ABC News reports that Lloyd remained in jail today. He was reportedly charged with reckless driving, failure to stop for authorities and driving without a license.

“The video released by the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office to ABC News shows the chase on Interstate 95 southbound, according to police,” ABC News reports. “Lloyd, born Jake Broadbent, was ‘endangering the safety of the motoring public,’ according to the report, before he lost control of his car, crashed and was arrested.”
