Tracy Morgan, who was badly injured in an automobile crash in June 2014, will be one of the hosts of “Saturday Night Live” when it returns for its new season in October.

NBC, using its official “Saturday Night Live” Twitter account, sent this tweet today: “We’re excited to announce our first three hosts of Season 41: @MileyCyrus, @amyschumer, and @RealTracyMorgan!”

A second tweet said that Cyrus would be hosting the Oct. 3 show, Schumer the following week, Oct. 10, and Morgan on Oct. 17.

Writes the CNN Wire: “Morgan, 46, suffered broken ribs, a broken nose, and broken leg when a Walmart tractor-trailer hit the limo bus that the comedian was traveling in on the New Jersey Turnpike last year. One person died in the crash, and others were injured.”

The story also notes: “Following the wreck, those in the comedy community sent their well-wishes to Morgan with fellow ‘30 Rock’ co-stars Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey taking a moment during the 40th anniversary celebration of ‘Saturday Night Live’ to speak about Morgan.”

  1. And, unfortunately, a major brain injury. Which will be all too obvious, and not addressing it will only make its presentation more shocking.
