It’s not looking good for one NBC series. After struggling in its time slot on Friday nights, the freshman comedy “Truth Be Told” has had its order cut back. Variety reports that the network reduced its order for the Mark-Paul Gosselaar series to 10 episodes.

The show’s 10-episode run will continue to play out in its 8:30 p.m. slot, the story notes.

“In its first two airings, ‘Truth Be Told’ has averaged a 0.66 rating in adults 18-49 and 2.41 million viewers overall in Nielsen’s ‘live plus same-day’ estimates,” Variety notes. “It’s the lowest-rated of any series on the Big Four networks this fall.”

The report adds that the series has had “lackluster reviews from critics.”

  1. Not that it is a big deal but you might want to change the picture in the post – I think it is of the cast before one of the actors was replaced by Vanessa Lachy (Lachey?) before the show was even on air.
