Telemundo Network announced the appointment of a new Vice President, Marketing. The network, a division of NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises, appointed Maria Isabel Figueroa to the post.
Figueroa will be based in Miami and will report to Aileen Angulo Merciel, SVP, Marketing and Creative, Telemundo Network.
In the announcement, Angulo Merciel said: “Maria Isabel’s strong digital marketing background and overall consumer engagement expertise make her a great asset to our award-winning marketing team. Under her leadership, I am confident that the network will increase brand awareness and continue to develop new, innovative ways to engage our consumers.”
The announcement adds: “In her new role, Figueroa will spearhead the strategic development and execution of all brand and off-air marketing initiatives, as well as leverage and increase Telemundo’s position in the marketplace. She will also oversee consumer marketing with a focus on the creation and establishment of fresh, state-of-the art approaches, and will supervise nationwide events and the network’s media buys. In addition, Figueroa will oversee developing marketing partnerships across the NBCUniversal brands.”
Figueroa was previously Vice President of Marketing for Sony Pictures Latin America & Brazil.
