A CNN anchor reported that she is OK following a bizarre incident on the air in which she can be heard slurring her words before she passed out while describing a poll about the Obama administration’s handling of terrorism.
Poppy Harlow sent out a tweet after the incident this morning, saying: “Thank you all for your concern and messages! I am ok! Passed out briefly and am with the doctor now. So thankful to our amazing CNN team.”
Harlow was filling in this morning for “CNN Newsroom” host Carol Costello when the incident occurred. Harlow’s speech can be heard trailing off, and then other voices can be heard reacting. The cable channel then quickly cut to a commercial.
The Huffington Post notes that Harlow, who is reportedly six months pregnant, was back on the air soon afterward and told viewers that she “got a little hot and I passed out for a moment.” She added: “I am fine, we’re going to take a quick break. We’ll be right back.”
