One of the former stars of the Fox series “Glee” was arrested today and booked in connection with a child pornography investigation. Crime Watch Daily first reported that Mark Salling, who played Noah “Puck” Puckerman on the musical series, was arrested by the LAPD on suspicion of possession of child porn.
The story reports that authorities served a warrant this morning at Salling’s residence in Sunland, Calif.
Salling, 33, was arrested at 9 a.m. and booked into jail in downtown L.A. on $20,000 bail, according to People magazine.
TMZ.com adds: “Law enforcement sources now tell us they’ve already seen more than a thousand images of ‘child sexual exploitation’ on Salling’s computer. Cops also seized other electronic devices, including tablets and cellphones. We’re also told he lives alone, which will make it hard to argue someone else put the images in the computer.”
TMZ reports that an ex-girlfriend of the actor tipped off authorities, who “investigated before the raid to make sure it wasn’t a revenge allegation.”
People notes that Salling has had legal trouble before, reporting: “He paid an ex-girlfriend more than $2.7 million in March after she accused him of knocking her to the ground when she confronted him over an alleged sexual battery, according to court documents obtained by People.”
