ABC has a new comedy project in the works from Adam F. Goldberg, creator of the network’s “The Goldbergs.” Variety reports that the net ordered a pilot for the new project from Goldberg and David Guaracio.

“Like ‘The Goldbergs,’ the new project is also a family comedy of sorts, but with a twist — there’s an imaginary friend on board,” Variety reports. “The untitled female-led pilot centers on a thirty-something bachelorette whose life is turned upside-down when she finally meets the love of her life — a divorced father with three kids.”

The project, from Happy Madison and Sony, blends live-action and CGI animation, as the lead character’s life transition sparks the reappearance of an imaginary friend from her childhood.
