With the Powerball jackpot surging to record levels for tonight’s drawing, the question of how to spend all that money has occurred to at least a few people.
USA Today lists five things that could be purchased with the $1.5 billion jackpot, starting with a fleet of 23 Gulfstream G650 jet planes. The report adds that a winner could match the $1.3 billion gross domestic product of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines with enough left over to buy the Playboy Mansion for $200 million.
Also on the list: More than 21,000 Tesla Model S electric cars, selling for at least $71,100 each, or 116 years’ stay at the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah Hotel in Dubai, at $35,444 per night. One more item on the list: a flotilla of five “super yachts” at $275 million each.
With that kind of money, I could buy every share of Cumulus stock, and then turn around and make a huge profit by selling off the stations.
