BET Fires Back at Stacey Dash

Jan 21, 2016  •  Post A Comment

BET issued a rebuke after actress and Fox News contributor Stacey Dash called for the elimination of the African-American-focused cable net as a step toward her vision of a fully integrated society.

Dash also advocated the elimination of Black History Month.

BET took to social media to ask Dash for its check back — presumably in jest — pointing out that Dash appeared on the BET series “The Game.”

The cable channel also posted a link to a photo gallery on its website headlined “Every Time Stacey Dash Proved She Was Clueless,” featuring summaries of a series of media appearances by Dash. The gallery showcases the “Clueless” star’s positions on subjects including closing the gender pay gap (she’s against it) and North Carolina’s voter ID law (she’s for it).

One caption includes the observation: “She thinks there needs to be a white history month too, since, you know, our ancestors apparently fought for nothing. ‘Clueless’ indeed.”

  1. “Our ancestors fought for nothing?”

Please tell me what that fight was for? I thought it was for the elimination of racial bias and treatment due to one’s race, not exclusive focus upon it.

  2. Stacey is right – but not politically correct! So BET wants to deprive her of her 1st amendment rights and silence a woman of color because she has conservative views. I too have always wondered why the segregation of black organizations (NAACP, NNCF, BET, Congressional Black Caucus, etc.) is OK but “white only” (clubs, sports teams, hotels, schools, businesses, restaurants, etc.) are considered vial affronts to the American consciousness. For 50 years I have been waiting for the hyphenated American to disappear as unnecessary. But the very people who said they wanted a cohesive assimilated America continue to support separate societies.

  3. You just can’t fix stupid.
