USA Network’s award-winning, cyber-centric “Mr. Robot” doesn’t simply create thrills with its realistic scenes of hacking and computer attacks, according to a report in Business Insider.

The report quotes “Mr. Robot” writer Kor Adana saying at CES: “If it ups your level of paranoia, it’s a good thing.” Adana, the article adds, wants ordinary people to take more security measures and “think twice about picking up a USB drive off the street.”

The show has an in-house technical expert, James Plouffe, who figures out technically accurate ways for the show’s characters to accomplish their aims, while staying on top of the latest cyber trends.
