NBC is moving forward with an action-adventure drama from Shawn Ryan, creator of “The Shield,” and “Supernatural” creator Eric Kripke, Deadline.com reports.

The network gave a pilot order to “Time,” from Sony Pictures Television and Davis Entertainment. The report notes that NBC won a bidding war for the project, landing it back in August with a pilot production commitment.

“Described as ‘Back to the Future’ meets ‘Mission: Impossible,’ ‘Time’ is a high-octane drama following an unlikely trio who travel through time to battle a master criminal intent on altering the fabric of human history with potentially catastrophic results,” the report notes.
