YouTube is ratcheting up its role in Super Bowl TV ads, which will again include creating a microsite where all of this year’s high-profile Super Bowl commercials will be rolling out in the weeks ahead and will be accessible in one place. Viewers will be able to vote on their favorites at the site.
“YouTube is also launching its Real-Time Ads product in beta, which will enable brands to run ads instantly across YouTube with messages that tie to big moments in the game,” B&C reports.
B&C notes that the video site reported users watched more than 840 million minutes of Super Bowl ads on YouTube last year, a 127% increase from the year before. YouTube said more than one-third of the online viewing took place before game day.
